Abstract
A single-axis steam generator, comprising: a main flow path including a plurality of heating surfaces, a point of use and an output db end of said heating surfaces, connected to said point of use; a starter bypass system, including a first conduit leading from the main flow path of said outlet end of the heating surfaces; means for reducing pressure in said duct; a second conduit connected to the inlet end of the pressure reduction means, which leads, in return, to said main flow path, connected to the latter at a point downstream of the first conduit in communication with said point of use; the second conduit also containing pressure reducing means including control means comprising first inlet means responsive to the temperature of the steam at the outlet end of the heating surfaces, and second inlet means responsive to the steam conditions at said point of use, said second inlet means responding when said outlet end of the heating surface reaches a predetermined temperature.
