A cooling system for an internal combustion engine, which includes, a fan, a drive shaft, clutch means for coupling and uncoupling said fan from said drive shaft, means defining a flow passage inside an enclosed volume containing a liquid refrigerant, and means sensitive to a change in pressure in said volume enclosed by said liquid refrigerant to actuate said clutch means.
