Abstract
A pressure response valve device, having a single main shutter movable between open and closed positions with respect to a valve seat for venting a reservoir structure or the like, in response to either excessive depression or excess vacuum in the same, said valve device comprising: (a) a first pilot valve including a seat and a movable obturator between open and closed positions and loaded towards the closed position; (b) a second pilot valve including a seat and a movable obturator between open and closed positions, and loaded towards the closed position; (c) means for moving said first pilot valve to its open position, in response to a predetermined increase in pressure within said reservoir above atmospheric pressure; (d) means for moving said second pilot valve to its open position, in response to a predetermined decrease in pressure within said reservoir below atmospheric, and e) means for moving said main shutter to its open position, in response to the movement of either the first or the second of said pilot valves, to their open position.
