Abstract
Inductive winding arrangement in a high-voltage electrical inductance apparatus, including an elongated magnetizable core, having a linear axis, a conductor of rectangular cross-section continuously wound radially outwardly on said core, to form a plurality of coils in the form of disk, axially spaced apart, constituting an inductive winding, characterized in that said winding comprises a substantially equal number of conductor turns, radially superimposed, said conductor forming at least one series circuit through said winding beginning at the turn radially more internal of a terminal coil in said winding, said circuit passing in series proximally through at least one radially superimposed turn of said terminal coil and thereafter traversing at least one turn in each of a succession of axially adjacent coils in progresi n radially incoming of turns to form a conical layer of conductor turns, coaxially with said core, said conical layer terminating in the radially innermost turn of a disk coil, between the ends of said winding, then passing said circuit in series the innermost turn of the next and subsequent disk coil and continuing through the turns of said coils alternately in progression of turns, radially inwardly stepped, to form a plurality of coaxial conical layers of conductor turns in nested relation each of said conical layers passing through a succession of axially adjacent disk coils.
