Abstract

The one-piece elastomer sealing member for a valve control rod fits in a stuffing box and has a holding flange clamped between the housing and a support eyelet. Two spaced sealing lips are provided in the axial direction and encloses between them a reservoir of lubricant. - The outer lip (16) in the axial direction is supported on the support eyelet (3), while its sealing edge (18) is in the plane of the holding flange (11) and inside the latter in the radial direction. The reservoir can be enclosed by a groove (17) near the outer lip sealing edge. PS(1-3)
