Abstract
A foundry moulding sand comprises siliceous sand, water glass and an accelerator comprising estrich gypsum, which is present in a quantity of 0À2-2À5 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of siliceous sand. The accelerator may also contain chromalite slag and the sand may also contain a foaming agent.
