Abstract

Rigid PVC is stabilized against U.V. radiation by the addition of tetrabasic lead sulphate. The polymer may be a homopolymer or a copolymer with vinylidene chloride. In the examples there are also added polyethylene or calcium stearate and calcium carbonate and optionally a green pigment.
