Abstract

A resistance probe for temperature measurement comprises a flexible insulating blade 1 on to which is wound a resistance wire 3 which is connected to two output lugs 5 and 7 fixed on the blade. The whole assembly with the exception, of the lugs is coated with a flexible insulating material. The insulating blade is made of mica and the resistance wire is of platinum. The flexible insulating material is a polymerized plastics paste with a base of organic derivatives of silicon and is an elastomer. A compound probe can be formed of a plurality of mica blades each having a resistance winding, the windings being all connected in series.
