A pulse generator for producing a sequence of predetermined pulse numbers comprising means for adjusting a capacitor to a control voltage corresponding to one of said predeterminable numbers, means for generating constant charge pulses to readjust said capacitor to a given voltage in a series of substantially equal voltage steps, and means responsive to each of said voltage steps to generate one of said pulses whereby the number of pulses in a sequence corresponds to the difference between said control voltage and said voltage dice.
