Abstract
A process for catalytically hydrodesulfurizing a petroleum oil containing sulfur and containing residual components and metal contaminants, normally capable of acting as catalyst poisons, characterized in that said process is due to the fact that diene oil is contacted with hydrogen, under conditions of hydrodesulphurisation, in the presence of a catalyst comprising at least one hydrogenating component in composition with an alumina base, said catalyst having no more than 15% of the volume of the pores whose radius is between 0 and 300 Å incremental interval any of 10 Å pore radio of the range of pores ranging from 0 to 120 Å radio, and also having at least 10% of said volume of pores in pores of a radius of less than 30 Å, at least 15% of said pore volume in pores of a radius greater than 30 Å and less than 70 Å, and at least 30% of said pore volume in pores of a radius of more than 70 Å and less than 120 Å (Machine-translation by Google Translate, not legally binding)
