Abstract

An article dispenser, e.g. for elongate pastilles 10, stacked in an inner casing 1 containing a sprung pusher 3, 4 which lifts the stack after the top pastille is pushed out horizontally so as to slide on three walls by a thumb 8a on the spring hinged lid 8, has projections e.g. 14, 15 co-operating with grooves e.g. 10a on the pastille to ensure that only a particular type of pastille may be stored and dispensed. The projection may be on the side walls 1a of the inner casing adjacent the dispensing zone or throughout the whole length of the casing as reinforcing corner fillets, in which case the pastilles may have rounded corners. Projection 15 is on a cross-bar stop 1c. The inner casing 1 slides upwardly in an outer casing 5 so that pusher 3 is depressed by top stops 6 and the inner casing may then be re-filled. The grooves may be symmetrical or asymmetrical.
