Abstract

A refrigerator door assembly comprises a door (10) with storage containers (17) which are arranged to be displaceable in height on its inner side face and retained between vertical struts projecting from the door inner side face. For this purpose, each container (17) is provided at its rearward region with laterally protruding claws (20, 20') hooked into grooves (21) in the flanks of the struts and is located in a selectable height position by means of detent lugs (22) protruding at its rear side and engaged in notches 19, the notches being provided in rows alongside the struts. The lower claws (20') can be released from the grooves (21) to permit tilting of the container and hence adjustment of the height position of the container in steps corresponding to the pitch spacing of the notches in the rows. The lower claws (20') may be replaced by magnets.
