Abstract

The thickness of the elastic structure of the mattress is reduced through pressing and feeding means cantileverly protruding, on which the open cover and the flexible wrapper are fitted; pressing means flatten said mattress along with its cover and its flexible wrapper, to transfer it to a winding and pressing device comprising mandrel means, being axially sliding and rotating, and a pressing and rolling cylinder elastically urged towards said mandrel; at least two ribbon shaped adhesive strings are placed around the mattress being in a rolled configuration on said mandrel.
