A seat support for rotating work-chairs comprising the following operating parts: a base element (3) with a support (6) attached at one end, a seat plate fixture (2) and back rest support (4) the seat support has a connecting-piece (7) attached to the operating parts, which is fixed to the back rest support (4) and can be moved on the base element (3) by means of a slide-type guide (10, 11). To lock the movement of the operating parts, a setting means (13) is attached to the connecting-piece (7), which is designed as a lamella package.
