Abstract

In an adhesive tape closure for disposable diapers having a basic tape (1) and a release tape (4) there is proposed, for the sake of easy production and handling and secure fastening on the edge (11) of the diaper, that the side of the release tape carrying the adhesive be designed so as to be free and hence bondable completely with the edge of the diaper, an edge region of that side of the release tape (4) which has a surface facilitating detachment releasing the edge strip (6) which is firmly bonded with the transitional strip (7) of the basic tape (1), the basic tape (1) and the release tape (4) lying against each other with their entire surface in the transportation and storage state of the adhesive closure piece before and after application on the diaper edge (11), and the basic tape (1) connecting the two ends (11, 11') of the diaper lying approximately in one plane, in the position of use.
