Abstract

Un cañón de arma perfeccionado, compuesto de diversas secciones, para disparar una bala, y destinado a ser unido a un cajón de mecanismos que comprende a lo largo del mismo una recámara, una sección rayada, una sección de expansión de diámetro aumentado, una sección de compresión de diámetro disminuido, siendo el diámetro final de la sección de compresión menor que el de la sección de expansión, y una sección de alineación que tiene un diámetro menor que el calibre de la bala para alinear la bala con un eje rotatorio constante para mejorar la precisión, siendo las secciones por delante de la sección rayada de ánima lisa para disminuir la fricción del ánima y proporcionar una mayor velocidad de la bala, siendo las secciones de ánima lisa de un diámetro tal que cooperan para permitir que los gases propulsantes se expandan más allá de la bala y sometan a ésta a un efecto de arrastre hacia delante, funcionando también los gases que se expanden para evacuar la atmósfera del cañón de arma por delante de la bala, reduciendo la expansión de los gases más allá de la bala la presión máxima en el cañón y proporcionando una presión de los gases relativamente baja adyacente a la boca en el momento de salida de la bala, comparada con la presión del gas adyacente a la boca en un cañón de arma convencional en el momento de la salida de la bala, proporcionando la menor presión máxima un disparo de arma más seguro y proporcionando la baja presión de los gases en la boca una menor deformación de la bala y una menor onda explosiva en la boca, para mejorar la precisión y reducir la sensación de retroceso que se percibe.
