OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The present invention refers to a closure for cardboard packages that incorporate flaps. It has the peculiarity that it is cellulosic, which facilitates the recycling of the packaging once it has been used, since it is not contaminated with other types of materials.

The invention also refers to the method of closing cardboard packages with flaps using the aforementioned cellulosic closure.

The present invention relates to closures, made of cardboard and paper, for cardboard packages containing flaps.

INDUSTRIAL APPLICATION

The developed system has direct industrial application as a closing mechanism for all types of cardboard packaging with flaps.

Its design is versatile for all formats of this type of packaging, present in the transport and preservation of products from all types of industry sectors, facilitating the complete recycling of the packaging.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The closure to preserve the privacy of the content characterizes the millions of cardboard packages that circulate daily around the world. At present, almost all of these packages are closed using different varieties of adhesive closures.

Frequently serving as auxiliary components to these closures, staples, flanges and other aggressive elements that damage the packaging when removed are used.

In a similar way, other variants of closures are known that try to avoid the damages that Adhesives cause packaging, such as plastic objects that fix the flaps of cardboard boxes and sailboat strips.

Some documents related to alternative box closures are:

- ES2151283T3. Tubular cardboard box design. The seal is produced by means of a cordless collar and an additional optional cap.

-PL67956Y1. The closure has a strip that is arranged on the lower surface of the upper wing of the lid of the box. The strip has an adhesive material, which ensures the closure of the system.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention describes a cellulosic closure with an adhesive sticker intended to be placed on cardboard packages that incorporate flaps.

It is made up of a clamp, configured in the shape of an "H", and a sticker with dimensions larger than the clamp on at least two opposite sides.

The sticker comprises an adhesive surface, covered by a lid intended to be removed to access the area with adhesive, and a printing surface, intended to incorporate printed information related to the shipment or the contained product.

The "H" shape of the clip is intended so that each of the two openings it presents is intended to accommodate one of the packaging flaps. With this form, a pre-closure or non-definitive initial closure is achieved.

Once the lid has been removed, the sticker is intended to be located centered on the clip, so that, when protruding, it is also located on the flaps, sticking to them and closing the packaging permanently.

In addition, the cover can incorporate at least one cut so that part of the cover does not come off when it is removed, preventing the adhesive in this area from being contacted. In this way, the adhesive of the sticker can be used to contact only the flaps of the packaging, without contacting the clamp.

On the other hand, the cover can also incorporate two cuts, being divided into three parts, so that the central part is intended to be located on the clamp, without being intended to be removed, while the two lateral parts are intended to be removed for the location of the adhesive areas of the sticker on the respective flaps. In this situation, it must be taken into account that if the lateral parts of the lid that are removed come into contact with a single flap, that is, the case in which the cuts are parallel to the edges of the flaps, the security of the closure does not remain the same. guaranteed, as the clip could slide out from under the sticker, leaving the flaps joined only by the sticker.

On the other hand, the sticker preferably includes at least one perforated line that overlaps the area of the lid that is intended not to be detached, so that when it is torn, it is easier to open the package.

As an optional form, it can comprise two perforated lines, each located on a flap.

Additionally, the invention also consists of a procedure for closing cardboard packages with flaps by means of cellulosic closure that is described in claim 2 and that comprises the following phases:

a) Position the clamp between the flaps of the box;

b) Detach the cover from the sticker;

c) Preposition the sticker on the clamp (1), without coming into contact;

d) Confirm that the clamp is located within the area covered by the sticker; e) Position the sticker on the clamp.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES

To complete the description of the invention and in order to help a better understanding of its characteristics, according to a preferred embodiment of the same, a set of drawings is attached where, for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, represented in the figures below.

Figure 1 shows the two parts that make up the closure of the invention, the clip and the sticker in an exploded view.

Figure 2 shows the sticker with a cut to be able to leave a central area without adhesive when removing the cover.

Figure 3 shows the clamp in the closed position, with the flaps of a package located on it.

Figures 4A and 4B show the complete closure of the sticker with the two pieces in an assembled position on the packaging flaps, for two ways of placement, one with the perforated lines parallel to the line of union of the flaps and the other perpendicular.

DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

As detailed, the developed system is a retrievable closure for cardboard packaging that preserves the inviolability of the content and identifies its recipient. It is made of paper and cardboard and replaces common adhesive closures. It is composed of two pieces: a clamp (1) and a sticker (2), as shown in figure 1

In this figure 1 it can be seen that the clamp (1) is made up of a strip of folded cardboard, therefore its manufacture requires only carrying out these folds from the fold lines.

As represented in figure 1, the sticker (2) consists of an adhesive strip that, on the one hand, incorporates a cellulosic printing surface intended to present the timely shipping information, while on the other side it incorporates the adhesive, covered by a cover (5) that must be removed to place the sticker (2).

Figure 2 shows that the cover (5) has some cuts (6) so that, when it is removed, the central area is not adhesive, but remains covered with part of the cover (5) so that it the adhesive does not come into contact with the clamp (1). In this way, the cuts (6) can consist of a rectangular area with the same objective that the adhesive does not come into contact with the clamp (1) when it is placed on it but that it can be fixed to the packaging on all four sides, increasing the closure security.

In addition, the sticker (2) also has some perforated lines (4) that overlap the area of the sticker (2) that still has part of the cover (5). These perforated lines (4) are designed to be torn to facilitate the opening of the packaging. These perforated lines (4) can be reduced to just one, although preferably there are two, one on each of the flaps (3).

In this way, to proceed with the closing of the packaging, it is only necessary to place the clamp (1) in the appropriate position of the packaging, imprisoning the two flaps (3) and then fix the sticker (2) to the packaging on the clamp (1). leaving it centered under the sticker (2).

As shown in figure 4A, one way to apply the sticker is with the perforated lines (4) parallel to the line of union of the flaps. To open the packaging, all you have to do is tear the sticker (2) along at least one of the perforated lines (4) and access the clamp (1) to separate it from the flaps (3), without causing damage in the process.

In any case, as represented in figure 4B, the sticker (2) can also be affix to the packaging in such a way that the perforated lines (4) are located on the two flaps (3) of the packaging, with the only difference that to open it, the sticker (2) would have to be torn along the two perforated lines (4) and thus access the clamp (1) to separate it from the flaps (3).

In this way, the clamp (1) is reusable so that another package can be closed again simply by printing the corresponding sticker (2).

Cellulosic closure for cardboard packaging with flaps (3) characterized by comprising: - a clamp (1) configured in the shape of "H", and - a sticker (2) comprising an adhesive surface covered by a cover (5) and a printing surface intended to present information on the shipment or the product contained, where: - the two openings of the clip (1) are designed to receive two flaps (3) of the packaging for a reversible closure, - the surface of the sticker (2) is greater than the surface of the clip (1) at least by two opposite perimeter areas, - the sticker (2) is located, once the cover (5) has been removed, centered on the clip (1), so that, when protruding, it is also located on the flaps (3), closing the package definitively 2. Cellulosic closure, according to claim 1, characterized in that the lid (5) comprises at least one cut (6) so that part of the lid (5) does not come off when it is removed, so that the adhesive of the sticker (2) can only be located on the flaps (3) of the packaging, without contacting the clamp (1). 3. Cellulosic closure, according to claim 2, characterized in that the cover (5) comprises two cuts (5) dividing it into three parts, so that the central part is intended to be located on the clamp (1) and the two lateral parts they are intended to be removed for the location of the adhesive areas of the sticker (2) on the flaps (3). Procedure for closing cardboard packages with flaps (3) by means of the cellulosic closure of claim 2, characterized in that it comprises the following phases: f) Positioning the clamp (1) between the flaps of the box; g) Detach the cover (5) from the sticker (2); h) Preposition the sticker (2) on the clamp (1), without coming into contact; i) Confirm that the clamp (1) is located within the area covered by the sticker (2); j) Position the sticker (2) on the clamp (1). 1
