Abstract
Process for the treatment of metallic surfaces with a chemical coating, which forms an integral part of these surfaces, for the reception of an organic finishing coating, characterized in that it consists in applying a diluted aqueous solution containing at least about one of said chemical coating. 0.0001% trivalent chromium in the form of a chromium complex containing an anion capable of being displaced by the anionic part of the expressed chemical coating during contact of the solution and the coating, said solution having a pH of 3, 8 to 6 around, and then rinse the treated surface with water.
