Abstract
Improvements introduced in the preparation of polymeric methylene diphenyl oxides, derived from monomer ** (See formula) ** where y is a lower alkoxy substituent having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and x has on average a value comprised between about 0.8 and 3, characterized in that said polymer by general formula ** (See formula) ** where n is an integer from 1 to about 9 at the point where about 80% to 90% of the alkoxymethyl reactive groups have reacted by forming essentially methylene bridges, and a reaction catalyst having been present in the polymer.
