Abstract
A tension-resistant cable is specified which comprises a cable core having at least one sheathing 1, a tension-resistant plastic tape 2 and a cable jacket 4. The plastic tape 2 comprises transverse and longitudinal threads, the majority of the longitudinal threads consisting of a tension-resistant plastic and the other threads being fused to the cable jacket 4. The production of the cable is characterised by drying the plastic tape 2 in a vacuum furnace.
