Abstract

Freno de disco, del tipo que incorpora al menos un disco de freno rotativo; pastillas de fricción capaces de aplicarse contra las superficies laterales de dicho disco, incorporando cada una de estas pastillas un forro de fricción y una placa soporte del forro; un soporte fijo que tiene brazos extremos transversales que se extienden por encima de una porción de la periferia del disco de freno, y medios de guía transversales para soportar las pastillas de fricción y guiar su movimiento en una dirección paralela al eje del disco de freno; un caliper (horquilla) que, visto en la dirección de movimiento delantero, esta montado sobre el brazo transversal trasero del soporte fijo con ayuda de un pasador, de manera que pueda pivotar alrededor del pasador y deslizar a lo largo de dicho pasador cubriendo el caliper a las pastillas de fricción y a la porción del disco ó discos de freno situada entre dichas pastillas; un accionador de control montado en el caliper y capaz de empujar a la pastilla interior hacia la pastilla exterior cuya placa soporte de forro es solicitada para apoyarse contra el saliente del caliper; medios de sujeción asociados con el brazo frontal del soporte fijo y que establecen entre dicho brazo frontal y el caliper una relación que permite el deslizamiento del caliper pero evita la pivotación de este último; caracterizado porque las placas soporte de los forros incorporan, en sus extremos frontal y posterior, cerca de sus bordes superiores, proyecciones para fines de soporte y sujeción, que sobresalen de una muesca de retención; los brazos extremos tienen, en el lado interior de la cavidad central del soporte fijo, una barra para fines de guía y sujeción que sobresalen de la cavidad central; en la posición de sujeción, la superficie inferior de la barra de guía frontal y la correspondiente superficie de la muesca de retención frontal y la correspondiente superficie de la muesca de retención frontal de las placas soporte de forros, definen entre las mismas un espacio de fijación en el cual se introduce una chaveta de retención; el extremo frontal del caliper tiene una muesca de fijación cuya superficie activa es, en la posición de trabajo del caliper, paralela a la superficie inferior de la barra frontal, en línea con la superficie inclinada de las muescas de retención frontales y que coopera con la chaveta de retención en una zona adyacente de la placa soporte del forro de una de las pastillas de fricción.
