A new rotary mechanism intended for engines, pumps and the like comprising a cylinder in the form of a part of a torus whose cylinder is arranged entirely on one side of a first shaft that passes through the shaft of generation of the bull and is in the plane determined by the periphery of the torus, and a piston that is arranged entirely on one side of a second axis and supported with respect to the second axis in such a manner as to allow a pivoting or pivoting movement of the piston about a radius of the peripheral line of the torus, the piston being housed inside the cylinder for a relative oscillation along the peripheral line, a second axis arranged at an acute angle with respect to the first axis and passing through the intersection of the first axis and the generation axis of the bull and is located in the plane determined by the peripheral line thereof, whereby a relative rotation between the piston and the second axis is caused around the first axis and causes a relative oscillation between the piston and the cylinder.
