Abstract

1. Una variedad nueva y distinta de planta de fresa, del tipo de día corto, caracterizada por su adecuación para plantaciones de invierno y verano y su prolificidad de estolones en el vivero, caracterizándose también dicha variedad por su hábito de fructificación, que es más temprano y más prolongado que el de la "Aiko", siendo las plantas de la variedad bajas a semierectas y teniendo flores hermafroditas, estando además dicha variedad caracterizada porque el fruto es de configuración cónica media a muy simétrica, con frecuencia hueco internamente y firme y duradero, teniendo la piel del fruto citado un acabado más lustroso y atractivo que el de la de la "Aiko" y siendo el sabor del fruto comparable al de las mejores variedades de California actualmente en uso, siendo dicho fruto adecuado para comercialización en fresco y para tratamiento. 2.
