Abstract

A grinding tool with a base 2 and a removable grinding member 3, and tensioning means 10 for deforming the grinding member to enable accurate setting of its dimensions. The grinding member may comprise a metal sleeve with a coating of abrasive, engaging the base by way of tapered surfaces 6, 7 so that the sleeve can be expanded. Alternatively the base itself may be expandable e.g. by an internal screw with a tapered portion, to expand the sleeve thereon.
