Abstract

A drain (100; 120) for mounting on a plate, such as a foam rubber plate; which comprises: - a collecting tray (101) with a lower part, a vertical wall (104) along the periphery of the lower part and an outlet opening (102); - a fixing ring (110) for coupling to the collection tray (101), the fixing ring having a peripheral wall (111; 121) facing downwards on the inner edge of the ring (110), the peripheral wall of which downward facing (111; 121) extends within the vertical wall (104) of the collection tray (101); an O-ring (109) disposed between the downward facing peripheral wall (111; 121) and the vertical wall (104); and - coupling means (106) for coupling the fixing ring (110) to the collection tray (101); characterized in that the coupling means (106) comprise at least one flexible finger arranged parallel to the vertical wall (104) and on the inner side of the vertical wall (104), where the at least one flexible finger has a first edge ( 107) arranged at the free end thereof; and where the coupling means (106) comprise a second edge (112; 122) oriented in the radial direction of the fixing ring (110) and arranged in the downward-facing peripheral wall (111; 121), the second edge ( 112; 122) meshes with the first edge (107) of the at least one flexible finger during axial displacement of the vertical wall (104) relative to the downward facing wall (111; 121)

DESCRIPTION

Drain outlet for mounting on a plate-type element

The invention relates to a drain for mounting on a plate, according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such drainage is known from DE 102005063576.

During the installation of a sanitary space, use is made in specific applications of a plate-like element as a substrate for a mosaic floor. On such a plate-like element, a slope can be easily provided, so no additional effort is required to obtain the correct slope when molding a concrete floor or laying floor tiles.

Furthermore, such plate-like elements are usually made as a foam rubber plate, so that acoustic insulation is obtained.

The foam rubber plate, where an opening has been arranged, must be positioned during assembly with the opening above a drain arranged on the floor. Then a watertight connection must be provided. For this purpose, it is known to screw a fixing ring into the collecting tray from above, whereby the plate-like element is clamped between the collecting tray and the fixing ring.

The drawback of such a connection is that it is not clear how tight the fixing ring must be screwed in for a correct connection. If the connection is not tightened sufficiently, a leak may occur. Also, the length of the screw thread is often limited, making thickness differences difficult to compensate for. The collection tray also fits against the foam rubber plate, so tension may occur in the outlet tube or the foam rubber plate may become deformed.

Therefore, it is an object of the invention to reduce or even obviate the aforementioned drawbacks.

This object is achieved according to the invention with a drain according to claim 1.

A clip connection is formed with the coupling means according to the invention. When a click is heard during mounting of the clamp ring on the take-up tray, it will immediately become apparent that both parts have been properly engaged. Therefore, a plate-like element with a fixing ring can be placed in one motion on the lower tray and attached to it during mounting.

Since the O-ring is additionally arranged between the downward facing peripheral wall and the vertical wall, a tight connection will be formed at all times between the collection tray and the fixing ring. This seal is independent of the clip connection. Therefore, a good seal is guaranteed regardless of the clip connection. Furthermore, the fixing ring can continue to move relative to the take-up tray, whereby differences in thickness can be easily compensated, as well as small angle differences between the hold-down ring and take-up tray. Therefore, deformation of the foam pad or outlet tube will not occur.

As the at least one flexible finger is additionally disposed on the inner side of the vertical wall, it is furthermore easily possible to check whether the clip connection has been properly made, for example by feeling or examining the finger.

In a preferred embodiment of the drain according to the invention, the at least one flexible finger is arranged on a part of the insert, the part of the insert being removably arranged on the vertical wall of the collection tray.

Being arranged in parts of the insert, the flexible fingers can be easily replaced when, for example, a finger is damaged during mounting. In addition, the fingers can optionally be adapted to the type of fixing ring that will be attached to the collection tray. Accordingly, the collection tray can also be used additionally for other fingerless embodiments, reducing production costs.

In a further embodiment of the drain according to the invention, the insert part comprises a hook part, the hook part of which protrudes into a cavity in the vertical wall of the collection tray.

In a highly preferred embodiment according to the invention, the vertical wall comprises a peripheral groove to receive the O-ring and the cavity is arranged in the groove and extends parallel to the peripheral wall.

By hooking the insert parts into a cavity in the peripheral groove and subsequently placing the O-ring in the peripheral groove, the inserts cannot be accidentally loosened. Inserts can only be removed when the O-ring has been removed again.

In yet another embodiment of the drain according to the invention, a second edge faces inward in a radial direction.

The flexible finger will accordingly mesh from the inside out in a radial direction at the second edge, and the fingers can be easily decoupled through the opening.

In yet another embodiment of the drain according to the invention, the coupling means comprise at least three flexible fingers. These three flexible fingers are preferably evenly distributed along the periphery, making it possible to obtain a stable and firm coupling.

The invention further comprises a plate-like element, such as a sloping foam rubber plate, with a drain according to the invention, where an opening is provided in the plate-like element, where the fixing ring is arranged around the opening on the upper surface of the plate-like element, where the downward-facing wall protrudes into the opening and where the collection tray is arranged against the underside of the plate-like element, where the vertical wall comes to lie within the opening of the plate-like element and the fixing ring attaches to the collection tray.

Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a first embodiment 100 with enlarged parts. In this embodiment 100, the drain is provided with a collection tray 101 having a tubular outlet opening 102 for additional connection with an additional outlet tube. The collection tray 101 is provided on the upper side with a ring 103 that is welded to the vertical wall 104 of the collection tray 101 during mounting.

In the vertical wall 104 of the collecting tray 101 there are cavities 105 where the parts of the insert can be placed. Each part of the insert is provided with a flexible finger with an edge 107 extending outward in a radial direction.

Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the embodiment 100, according to Fig. 1. Here, the ring 103 is welded to the vertical wall 104 such that a groove 108 is formed above the insert parts where a O-ring 109. This O-ring 109 avoids the possibility of a part of the insert being removed from the collection tray 101.

A fixing ring 110 with a discharge 114 of a drain 115 therein is further provided on the collecting tray 101. The fixing ring 110 has a downwardly facing wall 111 which is sealed on the O-ring 109. In addition, in the Downward facing wall 111 A tabbed wall 112 is provided which acts in conjunction with the edge of the flexible finger 107 and avoids the possibility of the downward facing wall 111 being removed from the collection tray 101.

The tab wall 112 forms a discharge where a second seal 113 is provided and where discharge 114 of drain 115 can then be placed. Accordingly, drain 115 can be height adjusted to the thickness of the surrounding tiles or other floor.

Fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view of a second embodiment 120 which is broadly similar to the embodiment 100 of Fig. 2. The same parts, therefore, are designated by the same reference numbers.

The drain fixing ring 110 has a downward facing wall 121 which is sealed over the O-ring 109. A tab ring 122 adheres against the inner side of the downward facing wall 121. The tab 122 acts in conjunction with the flexible finger 107 to avoid unexpected removal of the clamping ring 110.

Since the tab ring 122 adheres directly against the inner side of the discharge 121, a more compact construction is obtained compared to embodiment 100 according to Figures 1 and 2. The drawback is that a separate tab ring 122 must be produced. , since otherwise the drain fixing ring 110 will not be able to be released, which would require an expensive split mold.

Fig. 4 is a cross-sectional view of a combination 140 according to the invention. Combination 140 has a foam rubber plate 141 where a drain 100 according to FIG. 1 is arranged.

The fixing ring 110 is arranged with the cavity inside the upper side of the foam rubber plate 141, while the collecting tray 104 is placed with the ring 103 against the lower side.

Since the finger 107 can move relative to the tongue 112, while the O-ring 109 provides the seal, it is therefore possible to compensate for a difference in thickness of, for example, the foam rubber plate A layer of mosaics 142 is further provided on the foam rubber plate 141 with mosaic adhesive 143. The discharge 114 of the drain 115 protrudes into a second seal 113 and can also be adjusted in height such that the top side of the drain 115 is embedded in the upper side of tiles 142. A layer of putty 144 further provides a seal between drain 115 and tiles 142.

Claims (7)

1. A drain (100; 120) for mounting on a plate, such as a foam rubber plate; which includes: - a collection tray (101) with a bottom part, a vertical wall (104) along the periphery of the bottom part and an outlet opening (102); - a fixing ring (110) for coupling to the collection tray (101), the fixing ring having a peripheral wall (111; 121) facing downwards on the inner edge of the ring (110), the peripheral wall of which downward facing (111; 121) extends within the vertical wall (104) of the collection tray (101); - an O-ring (109) arranged between the downward facing peripheral wall (111; 121) and the vertical wall (104); and - coupling means (106) for coupling the fixing ring (110) to the collection tray (101); characterized in that the coupling means (106) comprise at least one flexible finger arranged parallel to the vertical wall (104) and on the inner side of the vertical wall (104), where the at least one flexible finger has a first edge (107) arranged at the free end thereof; and where the coupling means (106) comprise a second edge (112; 122) oriented in the radial direction of the fixing ring (110) and arranged on the downwardly facing peripheral wall (111; 121), the second edge ( 112; 122) meshes with the first edge (107) of the at least one flexible finger during axial displacement of the vertical wall (104) relative to the downward facing wall (111; 121). 2. A drain (100; 120) as set forth in claim 1, wherein the at least one flexible finger is disposed on a part of the insert, the part of the insert being removably disposed on the vertical wall (104) of the collection tray (101). 3. A drain (100; 120) as set forth in claim 2, wherein the insert part comprises a hook part, the latter protruding into a cavity in the vertical wall (104) of the collection tray (101 ). 4. A drain (100; 120) as set forth in claim 3, wherein the vertical wall (104) comprises a peripheral groove (108) for receiving the O-ring (109) and where the cavity is provided in the groove (108 ) and runs parallel to the peripheral wall (111; 121). 5. A drain (100; 120) as set forth in any preceding claim, wherein the second edge (112; 122) faces inward in a radial direction. 6. A drain (100; 120) as indicated in any one of the preceding claims, wherein the coupling means (106) comprise at least three flexible fingers. 7. A plate-like element (141), such as a sloping foam rubber plate, with a drain (100; 120) as set forth in any preceding claim, where an opening is provided in the plate-like element (141), where the fixing ring (110) is arranged around the opening in the upper surface of the plate-like element (141), where the downward facing wall (111; 121) protrudes into the opening and where the collection tray (101 ) is arranged against the underside of the plate-like element (141), where the vertical wall (104) comes to lie inside the opening of the plate-like element (141) and the fixing ring (110) is coupled to the tray of collection (101).
