Abstract

Improved apparatus for circulating a fluid containing foreign material, comprising a chamber adapted to receive fluid to be rotated, a rotating impeller disposed next to the internal surface of said chamber and having a plurality of blades to cause the movement, towards a terminal portion of each one of said blades, of the part of the fluid that is in said chamber next to said blades, these blades being practically facing towards the interior of said chamber, characterized by comprising means adjacent to said terminal portions of said blades to fundamentally reverse said movement of said part of fluid in one direction between said impeller and the other part of said fluid in said chamber, said reversing means causing the recirculation of said part of fluid with respect to the aforementioned blades, with which said recirculation associates with said other part of fluid and rotates with it, to produce a pressure difference within said chamber.
