Abstract
Un sistema de detección de caídas, que comprende: un detector (2) de caída para monitorizar el movimiento de un usuario (4) y detectar si el usuario ha caído o está a punto de caer; el detector de caída que comprende: uno o más sensores para monitorizar el movimiento del usuario (4); y un procesador para analizar señales de los sensores para determinar si el usuario (4) está a punto de caer, o si el usuario (4) ha caído; el sistema de detección de caídas que comprende además una unidad (10) de calibración que está adaptada para conmutar el detector de caída a un modo de calibración, cuando el detector (2) de caída se pone en contacto con la unidad (10) de calibración; y la unidad (10) de calibración que comprende un sensor (22) de presión para recoger mediciones del peso del usuario (4); en el que el detector de caída está adaptado para usar las medidas para adaptar la detección de caída al peso del usuario durante el modo de calibración antes del uso del detector de caída en un modo de detección de caída.
