Abstract

DESCRIPTION

Toilet paper roll / kitchen

The present invention relates to a roll of paper, and particularly to a roll of toilet paper type kitchen paper.

As is known, the final paper skirt of a roll of toilet paper or kitchen paper is glued in order to prevent the roll from unrolling during packaging and transport.

When the user removes the new roll from the container, he or she has to find the final skirt stuck and tear it in order to open the roll and start using it.

Figure 1 illustrates a roll A of kitchen paper or toilet paper in which a continuous line B of adhesive paste fixes the terminal skirt C to the roll.

The operation to open the roll is never simple and in some cases it is definitely laborious, due to the fact that the skirt to be torn is not easily identifiable and the glued region is large enough to force the user to tear a considerable amount of paper before being able to unwind the roll correctly.

US-3,960,272 describes a roll product with an end end that can be grasped manually and which is provided with a fold.

Document CH-689482 describes a roll of paper with an end end folded twice or more than two and which is stamped flat. It can form a grip handle for easy opening, and the folded layers can be glued together on the stamped portion. A reinforced terminal section may extend beyond it. The adhesive used can be of the type of melt glue.

Document FR-2354956 describes a paper roll with an end end pinched to at least one point within a corresponding opening in the surface of the roll. The openings can be in the form of small incisions into which the end sheet is inserted. The openings may also consist of perforated holes within which mesh fibers are clamped.

US-3134980 describes a method for fixing the end of a roll of paper comprising the step of slightly dampening a small insulated area and then pressing and heating the area in order to stamp and interlock the surface layer and the lower layer.

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a roll of paper capable of being opened in a simpler manner that overcomes the disadvantages of said prior art.

One purpose of the invention is to provide a roll of toilet paper or kitchen paper in which the first skirt to be torn can be immediately identified.

A further purpose of the invention is to provide a roll of toilet paper or kitchen paper that can be manufactured using machinery and materials that are already commercially available and which is normally used in this field.

A further purpose of the invention is to provide a roll of paper that can be manufactured at a competitive economic cost.

This purpose and other purposes, which will be apparent more easily from this point on, are achieved by a roll of toilet paper or kitchen paper as claimed in the appended claims.

From the description of preferred, but not exclusive, embodiments of the invention, other features and additional advantages thereof will be apparent, illustrated by way of non-limiting example in the accompanying drawings, in which:

Figure 1 is a perspective view of a roll of toilet paper or kitchen paper provided with a terminal skirt which is glued in accordance with the prior art;

Figure 2 is a view, similar to that of Figure 1, of a roll of kitchen paper toilet paper provided with a skirt allowing a simpler opening according to an aspect of the invention;

Figure 3 is a view, similar to that of the preceding figures, of a roll of toilet paper or kitchen paper provided with a skirt allowing a simpler opening according to a further aspect of the invention.

Referring to the cited figures, a roll of toilet paper or kitchen paper according to the invention, generically designated by reference number 1, includes a terminal skirt 3 which is

glued to the roll by means of a line 5 of adhesive paste that does not extend along the entire width of the roll, but leaves a region 7 without sticking with an approximate extension in the range between 10 and 20 mm.

The line 5 of adhesive paste is colored in order to facilitate the identification of the skirt 3 on the roll.

Figure 3 illustrates a roll of toilet paper or kitchen paper according to another aspect of the invention, generically designated by reference number 101, which includes a terminal skirt 103 which is attached to the roll by means of a line 105 Discontinuous adhesive paste.

As in the preceding embodiment, the dashed line 105 of adhesive paste does not extend along the entire width of the roll, but leaves a region 107 unattached with an approximate extension in the range between 10 and 20 mm. .

Also in this case, the dashed line 105 of adhesive paste is colored in order to facilitate the identification of the skirt 103 on the roll.

The method of manufacturing the paper roll according to the present invention is carried out by installing a discontinuous skirt glue sheet instead of the conventional continuous glue sheet.

15 The coloring of the glued region can be obtained by dilution of food ink in the adhesive paste.

The color of the adhesive paste is chosen so that a suitable contrast is generated between the color of the paper and the color of the glued region.

In practice, it has been found that the invention achieves the intended purpose and purposes by providing a roll of toilet paper or kitchen paper having the final skirt attached so that opening is facilitated thanks to the presence of a region not stuck

The coloring of the glued region facilitates the identification of the skirt that must be opened.

Claims (3)

1. - A roll of paper, particularly of toilet paper or kitchen paper, comprising a terminal skirt (3, 103) which is glued by means of a line (5, 105) of adhesive paste which does not extend along the full width of the roll (1, 101), wherein said roll of paper is characterized in that the region (7, 107) does not 5 glued exists only on one side of said skirt (3, 103), and because said line (5, 105) of adhesive paste is colored in order to facilitate the identification by a user of the glued skirt. 2. - The paper roll according to claim 1, characterized in that said region (7, 107) not stuck has an approximate extension in the range between 10 and 20 mm. 3. - The paper roll according to claim 1, characterized in that said line (105) of adhesive paste 10 is discontinuous or segmented. image 1 F ^ / q. one PREVIOUS TECHNIQUE / - / Cj. one image2 image3 image4
