The present invention relates to an adhesive label for resealing a soft packet for tobacco products and a soft packet for tobacco products comprising the adhesive tag.

Soft packs are well known in the art. A soft packet typically comprises a soft receptacle formed by an outer cup-shaped container composed of paper that is open at the top to receive an inner liner comprising tobacco products. In addition, the soft pack comprises an inner liner housed inside the cup-shaped outer container, the inner liner is surrounding the tobacco products. In order to allow access to tobacco products, it is necessary to open at least part of an interior lining wall. Exemplary embodiments of soft packs are described in US 4,776,461. Usually, the formation of an opening in the inner lining is irreversible so that tobacco products can fall out of the box or can deteriorate over time. In order to prevent the loss and alteration of tobacco products, soft packs that are resealable have been proposed. Exemplary embodiments are disclosed in WO 2011/023983 A1 or EP 2 769 929 A1.

However, the resealable soft packs of the prior art either require a lot of work and cost manufacturing such as the built-in closure disclosed in EP 2 769 929 A1 or present the fact that the closure is fixed in an adhesive manner directly against the paper wall of the outer container such as WO 2011/023983 A1 which leads to a resealable closure that tears quickly due to the direct contact of the non-permanent adhesive of the closure with the paper surface of the outer container. The sticky surface of the closure is quickly contaminated with traces of paper and, therefore, the tackiness is affected.

An object of the present invention is to provide a resealable soft pack for tobacco products that overcomes one or more of the drawbacks of the prior art. In particular, an object of the invention is to provide a soft pack for improved tobacco products resealing means.

The present invention provides an adhesive label according to claim 1, as well as a soft box for tobacco products according to claim 2, comprising the adhesive label according to claim 1.

Since the adhesive label of the soft pack of the invention comprises a closure part that not only provides a flap but also a suitable reception area for said flap, the closure part allows easy and reliable resealing of the pack along of a prolonged period of time. Direct contact of the non-permanent adhesive of the flap with paper or cardboard from one of the walls of the outer container is prohibited and, therefore, the flap is not contaminated and remains tacky during an increased number of sealing events.

The soft box of the invention comprises an access part defined by a weakening line, for example a perforation, in the upper wall of the inner lining and the adhesive label comprises a cover part fixed to this access area. When the adhesive label is pulled to open the soft pack for the first time using the flap of the closing part, the cover part is lifted, the weakening line of the upper wall that defines the access area of the inner lining is broken and an opening is formed that allows access to the interior of the inner lining. The cover part together with the access part form a cover over said opening of the inner lining which can be removably sealed by the closing part of the adhesive label. Therefore, the soft pack of the invention can be initially opened by simply pulling the adhesive label flap; no additional manipulation of the inner lining is necessary. The consumer can have initial access to tobacco products by pulling the adhesive label flap once.

The soft pack can be opened and resealed simply using the adhesive label flap without removing or removing any material from the inner lining. The access part remains attached to the cover part of the adhesive label. No additional waste is produced.

The adhesive label of the soft pack of the invention encompasses a seal part with a first and a second wing part and a retention part disposed between the wing parts. The first and second wing portions are fixed to opposite front and rear walls of the outer container, respectively, while the retention part extends along the upper wall of the inner liner. By doing this, it is guaranteed that the inner lining is fixed in the outer container and an accidental loss is effectively prevented. Therefore, the soft pack of the present invention does not need any additional or similar seal to fix the inner lining in the outer container.

The soft pack of the present invention can be easily manufactured without the need for measures or materials that require a lot of cost. Although the outer container and inner liner can be prepared by means

Conventionally, the soft pack of the invention is terminated by subsequent application of a previously produced adhesive label of the invention.

The soft pack of the invention comprises an outer cup-shaped container with opposite front and rear walls, a bottom wall and two side walls. Typically, the front and rear walls represent opposite wide walls, while the side walls represent opposite narrow walls of the outer container. The width of the front and rear walls is defined by the distance between opposite side walls of the outer container, while the width of the side walls is defined by the distance between opposite front and rear walls. The walls define an opening and a cavity to accommodate an inner liner that wraps tobacco products. Therefore, the outer cup-shaped container lacks an upper wall, thus defining an opening that allows access to the cavity constructed by the other walls of the outer container. Preferably, the outer container has a cube shape with an opening in the upper part. Usually, the walls of the outer container are formed by paper or cardboard. Preferably, paper or cardboard with a weight of 5 to 200 g / m2 is used, more preferably with a weight of 7 to 150 g / m2, more preferably with a weight of 80 to 150 g / m2.

The soft pack of the invention comprises an inner liner housed by the outer container. The inner lining comprises opposite upper and lower walls, opposite front and rear walls as well as two opposite side walls. Usually, the front and rear walls represent opposite wide walls, while the side walls as well as the upper and lower walls represent opposite narrow walls of the inner lining. The width of the front and rear walls is defined by the distance between the opposite side walls of the inner lining, while the width of the side walls as well as the upper and lower walls is defined by the distance between the opposite front and rear walls. The walls define a cavity to house tobacco products. Preferably, the inner liner has a cube or box shape that corresponds to the shape of the outer container to ensure that the inner liner fits properly into the cavity of the outer container. The inner lining can be folded with a soap-like fold in the upper wall or with a square and fold type. The present invention does not depend on a certain type of folding; however, if the inner lining is prepared with a fold and square type, it is easier to arrange the weakening line that defines the access part. Usually, the walls of the inner lining are formed of paper, cardboard, polymer or sheets of metal, or combinations thereof. Preferably, the inner lining walls are metallized at least on one surface. In order to access the contents of the inner liner properly housed by the outer container, it is necessary to prepare an opening in the upper wall of the inner liner. To facilitate this, the upper wall of the inner liner comprises a weakening line that defines an access part. The weakening can be facilitated by removing material from the upper wall along the line of weakening. Said weakening can be achieved by drilling, a slit or a groove or combinations thereof. After the breakage of said weakening line, the part of the upper wall of the inner lining corresponding to the access part can be lifted or folded and an opening is formed that allows access to the tobacco products contained inside the inner lining. The access part is sized to allow proper access to the interior of the inner lining and to allow the consumer to conveniently access the tobacco products contained therein. Preferably, the weakening line defines the access part on three sides, while, after breakage of the weakening line, the access part remains connected with the rest of the upper wall along one side of the access part . The soft pack of the invention comprises an adhesive label for resealing an opening of the inner lining. The adhesive label is formed by a laminated structure of at least a first and a second layer, in which the first and second layers are joined together by an adhesive layer. The laminated structure may comprise additional layers in addition to said first and second layers. It is also possible that the first and second layers of the laminated structure each independently comprise or consist of one or more of one layer.

The laminated structure of the adhesive label may comprise or consist of a first layer, a second layer and an adhesive layer therebetween to join the first layer and the second layer together, in which the adhesive bonding layer is disposed between a upper surface of the first layer and a lower surface of the second layer. The adhesive label can be made transparent. For the purpose of the present invention, the term transparent refers to a visible light transmission of 50% or more, preferably 75% or more, more preferably 90% or more. If the adhesive label is made transparent, the application of the adhesive label does not interfere with any printed element present on a surface of the soft pack of the invention. In particular, it is possible to apply the adhesive label to partially or totally cover a fiscal stamp without altering the visibility of the fiscal stamp.

The adhesive label comprises multiple parts that have different functions.

The adhesive label comprises a seal part that serves as a hinge for the cover part and the closing part as well as means for properly retaining the inner lining in the outer container. The seal part is formed by opposite first and second wing portions that are interconnected through a retention portion disposed between the first and second wing portions. The first and second wing portions are fixed to opposite walls of the outer container, preferably to opposite front and rear walls of the outer container, respectively. The retaining part connects the first and second wing part and thereby extends along the upper wall of the inner liner. Preferably, the first and second wing portions are fixed to the front and rear walls of the outer container by means of a permanent adhesive. The first and second wing portions may be fixed to an outer surface or an inner surface of the front and rear wall of the outer container. The retaining part connects the first and second wing portions and encompasses the upper wall of the inner liner. The adhesive label comprises a cover part that is disposed between the seal part and a closure part of the adhesive label. The cover part is adhesively fixed to the access part of the upper wall of the inner lining. The width of the cover part of the adhesive label and optionally of the closure part and / or the reinforcement part does not exceed the width of the upper wall of the inner lining. This ensures that the cover part does not extend beyond the upper wall of the inner liner and limits the risk of accidental contact with a surface of the outer container. Avoiding such contact leads to improved operability of the cover part during the opening and closing of the pack. Preferably, the width of the cover part and, optionally, of the closure and / or reinforcement part is in the range of 25% to 99% of the width of the upper wall of the inner lining.

In order to allow convenient access to the tobacco products contained in the soft pack and to reduce the risk of accidental loss of the inner lining, it is preferable that the adhesive label covers at least half of the outer surface of the upper wall of the Inner liner. Adhesives are used in the soft pack of the invention, in particular permanent and non-permanent adhesives are used.
