Abstract

A shock absorber (4) has a mounting tube (8) and an inner tube (9) which can be displaced telescopically therein against the force of a pre-stressed spring (27) and is connected at its ends in each case via two pre-stressed rubber rings (34, 35 34', 35') resilient, to the suds container or base plate. A closure element (10) with a threaded bolt (17) is provided on the mounting tube (8) and/or a threaded bolt (17') is provided on the inner tube (9) for housing two rubber rings (34, 35 34', 35'). In addition the closure element (10) and the inner tube (9) comprise injection moulded plastics in which the threaded bolts (17, 17') are embedded. The threaded bolts (17, 17') are provided with a spacer tube (12, 12') formed in each case in one piece with the closure element (10) or the inner tube (9), the length of the spacer tube corresponding to the thickness of the two respective pre-stressed rubber rings (34, 35 34', 35').
