The invention relates to a guide device for a sliding door with two sliding blades in parallel planes, comprising a lower guide rail on the side of the furniture body with rear and front rails open downwards and separated from each other by a strip separator, a first guide hardware, attachable to the front leaf of the door, which has a wing that projects backwards with a guide end angled vertically upwards and that once mounted is slidable by the rear guide rail, and a second guide hardware attachable to the rear leaf of the door, which has a vertical wing for attachment to said rear leaf of the door and a wing that projects backwards with a guide end angled vertically upwards and which Once mounted, it is slidable along the front guide rail.

Such a guiding device is known, for example, from the patent DE 20 2012 001 115 U1.

In that known device the two guide rails and therefore the two guide ends have the same width.
