Abstract

A multi-purpose table has a top comprising two board halves (1, 2) which when connected together define a central space occupied by a third central portion (4) which is detachable for substitution of a spaced cooking surface. One side (5) of the central portion (4) is decorated to match the top surfaces of the board halves (1, 2) whereas the reverse side is differently decorated, for instance as a game board. The table top is supported by pegs which are inserted into tubular legs (8) and the pegs have radial members to support the central portion (4) or alternatively the cooking surface. Half- pegs (7', 7'') are attached respectively to the board halves (1, 2) adjacent the junction line therebetween and enter the tops of the associated tubular legs (8) so that thereby the board halves are connected together.
