Abstract

Configurable furniture suitable for being formed according to a first and second arrangement comprising: - a box (4) comprising at least one compartment (6), - a first panel (8) which is arranged, according to the first arrangement, horizontally by above said box (4) and, according to the second arrangement, vertically, in front and at a distance from one of the sides of the box (4), - a second panel (10) which is placed, according to the first arrangement, vertically, in front and at a distance from said side of the box (4) and perpendicularly to the indicated first panel (8) and, according to the second arrangement, horizontally on said box (4), and which joins perpendicularly with said first panel (8 ), the first panel (8) in the first arrangement and the second panel (10) in the second arrangement forming a work plane, the furniture comprising a third panel (12) which, according to the first arrangement, joins the lower parts of said box (4) and of said according The panel (10) and, according to the second arrangement, it is placed horizontally above said box (4) in order to cover the indicated box (4) together with a part of the second panel (10).

DESCRIPTION

Configurable furniture

The invention relates to a configurable piece of furniture (or a piece of furniture) suitable for viewing its modified arrangement in order to modify its function / destination.

The invention relates more particularly, but not exclusively, to a table or a dresser of changing table whose arrangement can be modified in order to become a desk.

The object of the invention is a configurable piece of furniture suitable for being formed according to a first and a second arrangement comprising:

- a box comprising at least one compartment,

- a first panel that is placed, according to the first arrangement, horizontally above said box and, according to the second arrangement, vertically, in front and at a distance from one of the sides of the box,

- a second panel that is placed, according to the first arrangement, vertically, in front and at a distance from said side of the box and perpendicularly to the said first panel and, according to the second arrangement, horizontally on said box, and that is attached perpendicularly to the indicated first panel,

the first panel in the first arrangement and the second panel in the second arrangement forming a work plane,

the furniture comprising a third panel which, according to the first arrangement, joins the lower parts of said box and said second panel and, according to the second arrangement, is placed horizontally above said box in order to cover the indicated box together with A part of the second panel.

The configurable furniture according to the invention has the advantage of being economical and ecological. In fact, the passage from the first to the second arrangement allows to conserve most of the elements. The configurable furniture also has the advantage of being adaptable and multiple uses.

The third panel allows, in the first arrangement, to ensure better furniture stability, reinforce the furniture structure and maintain a substantially constant separation between the box and the second panel.

According to a possible feature, the furniture comprises a fourth panel and a drawer,

- being in the first arrangement, the fourth panel arranged, vertically between the box and the first panel in such a way that to the box, the first, second and fourth panels delimit a space in which the indicated drawer is introduced,

- in the second arrangement, said drawer is arranged in a second space delimited by the box and the first and second panels.

The incorporation of a fourth panel makes it possible to integrate additional positioning means such as a drawer that is suitable for use in the first and second provisions.

According to another possible feature, the furniture comprises a fifth panel that forms a bottom that has an elongated shape and that is arranged, according to the first arrangement, vertically in the direction of its length between the box, the first panel and the second panel and, according to the second arrangement, vertically in the sense of its width between the box, the second panel and the first panel.

According to another possible feature, the furniture comprises an upright fixed perpendicularly to the first panel, the second panel presenting, in the first arrangement, a part extending vertically beyond said first panel, in the first arrangement the vertical upright and the part of vertical extension of the second panel defines a surface between them and with the first horizontal panel, the first panel forming a shelf in the second arrangement.

According to another possible feature, the box has an elongated shape, for example of rectangular parallelepiped, extending vertically in relation to the ground.

According to another possible feature, the first panel has an elongated shape, the length of the first panel being equal to the length of said box.

According to another possible feature, the second panel has an elongated shape, the length of the second panel being equal to or greater than the length of said box.

According to another possible feature, the furniture forms, according to the first arrangement, changing table and, according to the second arrangement, desk.

According to another possible feature, the indicated drawer and the mentioned panels are made of materials composed of fibers and / or wood particles such as medium density fiber panels (or MDF) and panels of large oriented particles (or OSB).

In another aspect, the invention also relates to a mounting kit comprising elements suitable for building a configurable piece of furniture as mentioned above.

Other features and advantages will appear in the course of the description that follows, given only by way of non-limiting example and made with reference to the attached drawings, in which:

- Figure 1 represents a schematic perspective and partially fragmented view of a configurable furniture according to a first arrangement;

- Figure 2 is a schematic perspective and partially fragmented view of the configurable furniture of Figure 1 according to a second arrangement.

Figure 1 represents a schematic perspective and partially fragmented view of a configurable piece of furniture 1 suitable to be placed according to a first and a second arrangement.

As illustrated in Figure 1, configurable furniture 1 comprises:

- a box 4 having an elongated shape that, on the one hand, extends vertically and, on the other hand, comprises at least one compartment 6;

- a first panel 8 that has an elongated shape that is arranged horizontally and remotely above said box 4 and that forms a work plane;

- a second panel 10 having an elongated shape that is, on the one hand, arranged vertically, in front and at a distance from one side (side flank) of the box 4 and perpendicularly to said first panel 8 and, on the other hand, has a part extending vertically 10a beyond said first panel 8 (that is, away from the first panel 8);

- a third panel 12 having an elongated shape that joins the lower parts of said box 4 and the second panel 10;

- a fourth panel 14 having an elongated shape arranged vertically between the box 4 and the first panel 8 such that the box 4, the first 8, second 10 and fourth panels 14 delimit a first internal space 16 in the furniture;

- a drawer 18 introduced in the first space 16;

- a fifth bottom panel 20 that has an elongated shape and is arranged vertically in the direction of its length between the box 4, the first panel 8 and the second panel 10;

- a vertical upright 22 fixed perpendicularly to the first panel 8 that delimits with the vertical extension part 10a of the second panel 10 and the first horizontal panel 8, a horizontal surface 8a more particularly adapted to serve as a changing table. The assembly 22 and the vertical extension part 10a serve as safety flanges to the surface 8a.

More particularly, the box 4 comprises a plurality of walls arranged to form a closed rectangular parallelepiped. The box 4 comprises two opposite and parallel side walls 4a (side flanks).

One of the sides (front face) is closed by a wall that forms a door 4b and the opposite side (back side) is closed by a wall 4c that forms a bottom.

The lower and upper parts of the box 4 are, as for them, closed respectively by a lower and opposite wall 4d and upper 4e.

In addition, the box 4 comprises, one above the other, two internal compartments 6 and a partition 4f that separates the indicated compartments 6 from each other. By way of variant, box 4 can comprise more than two compartments.

The arrangement of the elements 4 to 22 described above and which make up the furniture 1 corresponds to a first arrangement in which the furniture forms a changing table and, more particularly, a changing table.

In addition, elements 4 to 12 and 16 to 22 of the furniture 1 are suitable to be placed according to a second arrangement in which the furniture forms a desk.

It will be appreciated that the different elements 4 to 22 are joined to each other by fixing means (not shown) suitable for being mounted and disassembled such as screws so that the user can easily modify the arrangement of the elements 4 to 22 forming the configurable furniture 1 according to the invention. The user can thus transform the furniture that forms a comfortable changing table into a piece of furniture that forms a desk or vice versa according to their needs.

Figure 2 represents a schematic perspective and partially fragmented view of the configurable furniture 1 of Figure 1 according to the second arrangement.

It will be appreciated that the configurable furniture 1 according to the second arrangement comprises at most the elements 4 to 22 that form the configurable furniture 1 according to the first arrangement. The structure of elements 4 to 22 is identical and will therefore not be detailed again.

As illustrated in Figure 2, the configurable furniture 1 comprises:

- box 4;

- the first panel 8 which, here, is arranged vertically, in front and at a distance from the side (side flank) 4a of the box 4;

- the second panel 10 which forms a work plane that is arranged horizontally and is connected perpendicular to the first panel 8 indicated and forms a partial bottom of the furniture;

- the third panel 12 which is arranged horizontally above said box 4 in order to cover said box 4 together with a part of the second panel 10;

- the fifth panel 20 which is arranged vertically in the sense of its width between the box 4, the second panel 10 and the first panel 8;

- the drawer 16 which is arranged in a second internal space 24 delimited by the box 4 and the first 8, second 10 and fifth 20 panels.

It will be appreciated that all the elements of the furniture that form a dresser have been taken up in the furniture that forms a desk, with the exception of the fourth panel.

It will be appreciated that the different elements that form the configurable furniture 1 are for example made of materials composed of fibers and / or wood particles such as medium density fiber panels (or MDF) and panels of large oriented particles (or OSB ).

In addition, it will be appreciated that each of the panels 8, 10, 12, 14 and 20 extends mainly in a plane and has a substantially rectangular shape. Each of the panels 8, 10, 12, 14 and 20 therefore has a length corresponding to the dimension in the sense of its greatest extent and a width corresponding to the orthogonal dimension to the length (the width and length of a element define the main extension plane of the element).

Box 4, as for it, presents:

- a length corresponding to the dimension in the sense of its greatest extension (length corresponding to the height of the box and the distance between the lower walls 4d and upper 4e),

- a width corresponding to the dimension between two opposite walls 4a (or lateral flanks) parallel to each other,

- a depth corresponding to the dimension between the bottom wall 4c and the front wall forming door 4b.

The following relationships between the structures of the elements that make up the furniture 1 according to the invention will be appreciated:

- the length of the first panel 8 is equal to the length of the box 4,

- the width of the first panel 8 is equal to the depth of the box 4,

- the length of the second panel 10 is greater than the sum of the length of the box 4 and the width of the fourth panel 14,

- the width of the second panel 10 is equal to the depth of the box 4,

- the length of the third panel 12 is equal to the depth of the box 4,

- the length of the fourth panel 14 is equal to the depth of the box 4.

In a variant not shown, the length of the second panel 10 is equal to the length of the box 4.

On the other hand, it will be appreciated that the furniture 1 according to the invention can also be presented in the form of a mounting kit (not shown) comprising the elements 4 to 22 mentioned above as well as fixing means. The indicated mounting kit allows assembling the configurable furniture 1 according to one or the other of the two arrangements described above.

It will be appreciated that the dimensions and / or the relationships between the dimensions of the different elements that make up the furniture, the arrangement and / or the orientation of the box 4 can be modified without altering the nature of the invention (For example, box 4 can be placed on the right and not on the left).

Furniture according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises a fourth panel (14) and a drawer (18), - being in the first arrangement, the fourth panel (14) arranged vertically between the box (4) and the first panel (8) such that the box (4), the first (8), the second (10) and room (14) panels delimit a first space (16) in which the indicated drawer (16) is introduced, - in the second arrangement, said drawer (18) is arranged in a second space (24) delimited by the box (4) and the first (8) and second (10) panels. 3. Furniture according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises a fifth panel (20) that forms a bottom that has an elongated shape and that is arranged, according to the first arrangement, vertically in the direction of its length between the box ( 4), the first panel (8) and the second panel (10) and, according to the second arrangement, vertically in the sense of its width between the box (4), the second panel (10) and the first panel (8) . 4.
