Abstract
New organic compounds and, more particularly, new derivatives of cinnamamide that can be represented by the following general formula: **FIGURE** where R is lower alkoxy, R1 is hydrogen or lower alcohol, and R2 and R3 are hydrogen, lower alcohol, lower alkoxyalkoyl, lower alkenyl, cycloalkoxy, phenyl, m-tolyl and m-anisyl. Suitable lower alkoxy substituents are the methoxy radical and the ethoxy. Suitable lower alcohol substituents are: methyl, ethyl, propyl, isopropyl, butyl, isobutyl, etc. Suitable lower alkoxyalkyl substituents are, for example, B-methoxyethyl and B-amethoxypropyl. Suitable lower alkenyl substituents are allyl, metalyl, 2-butenyl, etc. Suitable cycloalkoxy substituents are, for example, cyclopentyl and cyclohexyl.
