Abstract

Un método de obtener azufre elemental a partir de pirita o de concentrados de pirita tratando la materia prima con gases no oxidantes a una temperatura elevada, de tal manera que el azufre elemental sea separado de la materia prima, caracterizado porque el calentamiento se realiza mientras la materia prima está en un estado de suspensión en el gas de caldeo, y el flujo de suspensión es principalmente descendente y el caldeo es suficiente para hacer posible la obtención del sulfuro remanente cuando el azufre se separa, en estado fundido, y porque el azufre separado y el sulfuro fundido se recuperan ambos.
