Gym clothes and relevant kit

The present invention relates to a gymnastic garment and a related kit comprising the garment and a pair of shoes connected thereto.

In particular, the gymnastic or exercise garment and the kit of the present invention are intended to form a new and effective tool to be applied to the human body to allow a continuous series of exercises that take advantage of the elastic properties of a pair of tapes.

The invention is also particularly important in the field of rehabilitation, since it facilitates the locomotion of subjects presenting some pathologies of movement.

The use of elastic bands or spring extenders for the execution of gymnastics or rehabilitation exercises is known.

Gymnastics devices, more or less complex, that use elastic straps applied to parts of the human body are also known.

For example, US-1663641 describes a pair of tapes to be applied to the shoulders and feet of a user to perform exercises.

Document US-2097376 describes a pair of elastic straps that are connected at the top to a kind of corpino and at the bottom to the shoes worn by the user by means of hooks.

Documents US-5606745 and US-5867827 refer to gymnastic suits provided with areas in an elastic material to allow the execution of exercises, elastically deforming the parts of the suit arranged in correspondence with some parts of the body, such as, for example, the upper and lower limbs.

Another gymnastic garment is described in US-4065814, which shows a suit that covers the upper and lower extremities of the user's body and is provided with elastic bands that extend along the entire body of the user, from the shoulders to the lower areas of the legs. The elastic bands are arranged on the front and on the back of the suit. As set forth in US-4065814, the elastic bands located on the front are subjected to stress when the user's leg is bent, subjecting the user's body to a greater tension than during free movement. In practice, document US-4065814 teaches the use of a gymnastic suit capable of providing an elastic reaction to practically all user activities, without a specific purpose, and this is inconvenient in cases where it is necessary to work only a specific part of the musculature, or in cases where it is only necessary to improve and / or cure a particular limb movement.

The systems known so far are impractical and can be used with some difficulty. Its use is limited to gyms and similar sites, since these systems are not compatible with the clothes commonly used in daily life.

The objective of the present invention is to provide a gymnastic garment and a related kit comprising the garment and a pair of shoes connected to the garment that can solve the drawbacks indicated above.

This result has been achieved according to the invention by adopting the idea of making a garment having the characteristics described in the independent claims. Other features are described in the dependent claims.

Among the advantages of the present invention, those described below can be listed.

The garment and the kit allow to carry out, in a continuous way, a series of exercises in a natural and spontaneous way; With the present invention, it is possible to adjust, in an easy and intuitive way, the force required for the execution of the exercises; In addition, the garment can be used even in a non-strictly sports field, that is, it is not limited to being used in gyms and similar sites, since it includes a pair of substantially "normal" fabrication pants that can be used in a wide variety of situations; in other words, with the present invention, it is possible to practice, in a continuous manner, at any time of the day, without the limitations generally determined by a purely sportswear; the exercises allowed by the present invention are extremely effective since they determine an alternation between the "push" movement exerted by the user and the "return" determined by the elastic reaction of the bands that are part of the present system; The proper contact of the foot with the floor is facilitated by the lifting of the back of the foot determined by the intervention of the elastic band that applies its reaction to the back of the foot.

The garment and kit also allow an extremely high number of gymnastics and rehabilitation exercises.

The exercises that can be performed can be very different from each other, affecting, with varying intensity, different parts of the body, with different procedures for approaching the exercise and, consequently, with the ability to perform generic training with specific objectives, sports type and / or rehabilitation type.

The garment and the kit have a simple construction structure, easy to use and of considerable strength, capable of keeping their characteristics unchanged, even after prolonged use.

As will be described in detail below, the present invention constitutes a functional and integral element of movement without constituting a bulky or striking tool; In other words, with the present invention, it is possible to perform gymnastics and rehabilitation exercises with a dynamic use of a garment capable of effectively integrating the motor requirements with an extremely high adjustment, such as to allow the use of the garment in all terms.

People with knowledge of the subject will better understand these and other advantages and characteristics of the present invention from the following description and with the help of the attached drawings provided as a practical exemplification of the invention, but which should not be considered in one sense. limiting, in which:

Referring initially to the example of the drawings in Figs. 1-12, an exercise device or kit according to the invention (marked with reference number 1 in the present description) is used to allow the execution of exercises taking advantage of the elastic reaction of extensible elements.

The extensible elements are constituted by a pair of elastic belts (2), which have a distal or lower end (20) and a proximal or upper end (21).

The kit (1) also comprises a garment worn by the user comprising a pair of pants (3) provided with a pair of channels (32), which extend along the two legs of the pants (3), in which are inserted said elastic straps (2), and fastening means for connecting said proximal end (21) of the tapes (2) to the pants (3).

The gymnastic device or kit (1) further comprises a pair of shoes (4) provided with fastening means for said distal end (20) of said elastic straps (2).

In particular, the means for adjusting the deformability of said belts (2) are constituted by means (23) for adjusting the length of the belt part between the lower end (20), fixed to the shoe, and the upper end (21), fixed to the pants at the waist.

In the illustrated example, the means (23) for adjusting the length of the straps (2) comprise, for each side of the pants, a buckle that retains said upper end (21) of each belt (2).

Particularly important is the arrangement of the channels (32) with respect to the pants (3). In fact, studies carried out by the present applicants have shown that the optimal trajectory for these channels is a kind of slight curve, starting from the outside of the leg of the pants, in correspondence with the hips, and that it extends towards the part back of the leg. With this arrangement of the channels (32), the elastic reaction of the tapes (2) does not affect the adjustment of the garment and the correct execution of the exercises. At the same time, the elastic straps can make a slight slide inside the channels, making the execution of the exercises even more effective, without any damage to the comfort.

In Fig. 3, the channel (32) is shown from the inside. The channel (32) is internally delimited by the fabric, for example of the type used to line the pockets and / or in jerseys or other convenient type. In its upper part, the channel (32) has an opening (30) crossed by the belt (2), which protrudes from the channel (32) inside the pants, as shown in the lower part of the drawing.

The distal or lower end (20) of the tapes (2) is provided with a closed ring (22) adapted to wrap a part of the user's foot. The ring (22) can wrap the foot and can be inserted directly inside the shoe (4). Alternatively, the ring (22) can wrap the foot indirectly, passing in a relative seat or groove (40) provided in each of said footwear (4). The groove (40) can be part of the sole (43) made of rubber or plastic material, which defines a rear opening thereof.

The action of the ring (22) is exerted on the back of the foot; in practice, the elastic reaction provided by the tapes (2) determines and / or facilitates the lifting of the heel. Heel lift causes proper foot contact with the ground (with the metatarsal area). This feature is of great importance in the use in the field of rehabilitation of the present invention. Even people affected by movement deficit (such as, for example, in the case of sclerosis) can walk more easily. In other words, with the present invention, a facilitation is obtained in the lifting of the leg that determines, "automatically", a flexion of the leg and the consequent proper contact of the foot with the ground, also thanks to the elevation of the heel.

As shown in Fig. 9, the footwear (4) is provided with means to block the closed ring (22) adapted to prevent dissociation between said lower end (20) and the shoe (4). Said means may be constituted by a collar (44) that is wrapped around the back of the shoe (4). To fasten the collar (44) to the shoe, pressure fasteners, velcro or other releasable fastening means can be provided. In addition, as shown in Fig. 12, the shoe may be provided with a cradle (41) or similar filling element, adapted to be inserted in the groove (40). The cradle (41) can be used to use the shoe (4) when the shoes (4) are not used with the pants (3) to constitute a pair of commonly used shoes. The cradle (41) can also be used to block the ring (22) as an alternative to the collar (44).

According to the invention, in a realization that does not require the use of "dedicated" shoes, a garment to allow the execution of gymnastic exercises that takes advantage of the elastic reaction of extensible elements comprises: a pair of elastic belts (2), which have a distal or lower end (20) and a proximal or upper end (21); wherein said lower end (20) is provided with a closed ring (22) adapted to be mounted directly or indirectly on a part of the user's foot and a garment worn by the user comprising a pair of pants (3) provided with a pair of channels (32), which extend along both legs of the pants (3), into which said elastic straps (2) are inserted, and fastening means for said proximal end (21) of the tapes (2) to the pants (3).

For the realization of the pants (3) fabrics of a known type, for example cotton or other fibers, and in particular of jeans, also elastic, can be used. The pants shall be equipped with suitable reinforcing elements (33), such as, for example, reinforced seams, finials, etc. In the drawings, the different types of reinforcement are marked with the reference (33).

For the belts (2), good results have been obtained with rubber bands or particularly elastic fabric.

The shoes (4) are preferably sporty, with the sole (43) of plastic, rubber, etc.

In Figs. 13-21 another possible embodiment of the invention is represented, for which the same references have been used to indicate corresponding parts. In comparison with the example described above, the material used for pants (3) (which in this case is preferably elastically deformable, for example, Lycra) and the means for fixing footwear (4) are different, among other things; means that comprise

pressure fastening elements (43), with one part (43a) fixed to the distal part (20) of the belt (2) and the other part (43b) fixed to the shoe (4) in correspondence with the back of the foot , above the heel. These particular means of association between the shoes (4) and the ribbons (20) are extremely effective from the functional point of view, both for the user's movement and for facilitating fastening.

In fact, the positioning on the back of the foot determines a great ease to obtain the correct positioning of the foot in the contact phase on the ground. With the present invention, the elastic reaction provided by the tapes (2) determines and / or facilitates heel lift. This feature is of great importance in the use of the present invention in the field of rehabilitation. Even people affected by motor deficit (such as, for example, in the case of sclerosis) can walk more easily. In other words, with the present invention, an easing is obtained in the lifting of the leg which determines, as stated above, the flexion of the leg and the consequent appropriate support of the foot, also thanks to the elevation of the heel.

The pants (3) shown in Figs. 13-21 are provided with a closure (35) of cord and loops (34) of considerable size, that is, capable of accommodating large parts of the tape (31). The tape (31) is provided with a buckle (37). On the belt (31), on the back and in correspondence with the hips, there are two loops (36) that support the buckles (23) that allow the adjustment of the length of the straps (2). In this way, a link is made between the straps (which, at the bottom, are fixed to the shoes) and the belt.

Even in this case, the extensible elements are constituted by a pair of elastic belts (2), which have a distal or lower end (20) and a proximal or upper end (21). In particular, as best seen in Fig. 21, the tape (2) may comprise the distal end (20) and the proximal end (21) in non-elastic tape, and the central part (24) in elastic material. This particular configuration allows to obtain a considerable resistance in the extreme areas, which are exposed, and a softness in the central zone (24), which remains inside the channel (32).

Even in this case, the trajectory of the channels (32) with respect to the pants (3) is a kind of slight curve, starting in the outer area of the pants, in correspondence with the sides, and extending towards the part back of the leg. With this arrangement of the channels (32), the elastic reaction of the tapes (2) does not affect the adjustment of the garment and the correct execution of the exercises. At the same time, the elastic straps can make a slight sliding inside the channels making the execution of the exercises even more effective, without any damage to the comfort of the garment.
