DESCRIPTION

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a system for shaping a bottom for polygonal packaging, being applicable to both regular polygonal packaging and irregular polygonal contour packaging, comprising a number of pieces that are fixed on the outside of the side faces of the packaging and whose pieces are provided with an intermediate folding line so that from a folded position the packaging unfolds the bottom and the assembly of the box itself is obtained completely automatically.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Numerous and varied types of funds are known for prismatic packaging with polygonal bases of different number of sides that allow the folding of the packaging and therefore the folding of the bottom, so that the packaging can be stored fully folded occupying a minimum volume and presenting a armed by fully automatic device deployment due to the configuration of the fund itself.

In this regard, documents ES 2268572 can be mentioned, which refers to a flattened corrugated cardboard container, which includes a number of lateral faces from which, in correspondence with one of its edges, fins that allow forming a bottom for the container are derived .

Likewise, document ES 2230182 may be cited, which also describes a foldable corrugated cardboard container, with a bottom determined by fixing parts, through end fins to the side faces of the package itself.

These pieces, equipped with a transverse folding line, have arcuate grooves that allow crimping with each other in folding and unfolded, although due to the arched path of the grooves, folding and unfolding operations present difficulties .

Furthermore, in this document as it is conceived, it is not possible to apply it to containers or containers in which its base corresponds to an irregular polygon.

In parallel, in EP 1225130 it refers to an armored bottom for polygonal-based prismatic packages with an even number of faces and greater than six, which although it can be both regular and irregular asymmetrical, its mounting system makes its bottom not be as resistant as it would be desirable, a fundamental characteristic for most of this type of packaging.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The conformation system of an armored fund for prismatic polygonal-based packaging that is recommended has characteristics that give rise to advantages and new benefits compared to the documents cited in the previous section and with respect to other packages known and existing in the market.

More specifically, the system of the invention is based on the fact that it is applicable to both regular polygonal contour packaging and irregular polygonal contour packaging, provided that in said polygonal contour an anti-symmetry axis is defined, being applicable to polygons of any even number of sides equal to or greater than eight.

The bottom in question is formed from four pieces, depending on the number of faces that the packaging has, of which two pieces of them, which correspond to the ends, are equal to each other, with two intermediate pieces that depending on the number of sides one of them is likely to be repeated two, three or more times, with slight variations to adapt to the particular polygon sought.

transverse, where the two extreme and equal pieces are affected by a pair of grooves one on each side of the transverse folding line, while one of the intermediate pieces, specifically the one that is repeated depending on the number of faces of the polygon a Obtain, also has a pair of grooves, a central lug and two lateral lugs, basic configuration that, as just said, is maintained in the rest of the pieces necessary to form the polygonal base in question, while the other central piece It presents an elongated configuration, with two recesses in correspondence with the edges of its major faces, finishing off at its ends in two fixing fins to the lateral faces of the box.

From this structuring, for an octagonal contour packaging two extreme pieces and two intermediate pieces will participate, with an extra intermediate piece being necessary for every two extra faces that are intended to be obtained in the packaging.

The lateral fins through which all these parts that make up the bottom are fixed to the lateral faces of the packaging are delimited by respective fold lines so that said fins are arranged vertically and fixed by external or internal adhesive to the lateral faces of the packaging, so that said parts that constitute said bottom are not related to each other by any type of adhesive, but rather folded and unfolded through the common bending line and corresponding to an axis of symmetry or anti-symmetry of the polygon to obtain, causes the automatic arming and disassembly of the fund.

In the case of irregular polygonal contour packaging, the bending line defined in the pieces does not define two symmetrical halves, as in the case of a fund intended to obtain a regular, but asymmetrical, polygonal contour, where one of them is of greater amplitude and presents a pair of bending lines to compensate the lateral angles and allow the central fold line of each piece to be maintained.

From this structure, the pieces are arranged parallel and aligned with the planned bending line and common to all of them, so that the pairs of grooves defined in each piece make the pieces in their deployment fit with each other by their opposite extremity in said pairs of central grooves that are oriented inwards, until reaching the intermediate piece that does not have grooves from which the

conformation of a bottom corresponding to an eight-sided packaging, that is to say regular eight-sided polygonal contour bottom, in this case involving four pieces, those shown in Figure 5, two end pieces (1) and two intermediate pieces (2) and (3).

All these pieces have a transverse and intermediate folding line (4), as well as two extreme fins (5), through which said pieces are fixed to the outer surface of the lateral sides of the packaging by means of the corresponding lines of fold (6).

The end pieces (1) have a pair of grooves (7), in correspondence with their inner edge while the intermediate piece (3) also has a pair of grooves (8), while the intermediate piece (2) lacks this type of slots.

In any case, the pieces are fixed, as declared to the outer surface of the side faces of the packaging by means of the fins (5), so that it is formed in the assembly, after the intermediate fold lines (4), lugs lateral (9) in the end pieces (1) and lateral lugs (11) and central (12) in the intermediate piece (3), all in such a way that in the assembly the central lug (12) of the intermediate piece ( 3) is arranged inside the bottom, initially defined from the intermediate piece (2), as well as the central lug (10) of the end pieces, while the side lugs (9) of the end pieces (1) they remain on the outside of the bottom, like the lateral lugs (11) of the intermediate piece (3), all thanks to the relative displacement between parts that is made possible based on the grooves (7) and (8) that are They define between the pieces.

This constitution and characteristics are repeated in all the pieces that participate in the constitution of the bottom of the packaging, either of eight sides like the one of twelve sides that is represented in figures 3 and 4, of sixteen sides, as the one shown in the figure 6, etc.

In any case, and in the case of regular funds, as mentioned above, for a greater number of sides it will be necessary to include an additional intermediate piece (3), for every two extra sides that are intended to be obtained, which although will present dimensions in accordance with the polygon to be obtained, it maintains as a common denominator with the intermediate piece described above the incorporation of an intermediate folding line (4), a pair of parallel grooves (8) in correspondence with one of

As for the irregular contour bottoms, such as that shown in figures 7 to 9, a pair of end pieces (1 ') with their corresponding bending line (4'), fins (5 ') and slots (7 ') defining lateral lugs (9'), as well as two intermediate pieces (2 ') and (3'), one of which, specifically the piece (3 ') has 10 slots (8') in one of its lateral edges, which define lugs (11 '), although in this case the bending line (4') defines for these pieces two asymmetric halves, the lugs of these pieces being also asymmetrical, but with a functioning and armed identical to the cases described above, with the particularity that the intermediate pieces (3 ') and (2') have a pair of oblique bending lines (13) that allow compensating the lateral angles by means of the corresponding folding of the fins and that correspond to the faces that have greater angle so that it remains the central fold line (4 ’) of each sector established on either side of the fold plan of the fund as a whole, this structure being only applicable to irregular polygons but presenting an antisymmetric axis.
