DESCRIPCIONDESCRIPTION

Guante.Glove.

The present invention relates to a glove according to the introduction of the main claim. It refers in particular to a glove to be used in sports car competitions.

In car racing there is a serious known risk of fire; This is mainly due to the high level of performance of the car and the presence close to the driver's compartment of the fuel tank that feeds the engine. The danger of fire is also considerable in the case of collisions or accidents of any kind.

Los ejemplos de guantes de este tipo se pueden ver en los documentos uS 2003/037364, GB 1 473 744 y DE 20 2006 012570.The severe rules of competition require that drivers' clothing be made of flame retardant fabrics that protect the driver in all situations. A well-known type of flame retardant of this type is marketed under the name of NOMEX. It provides considerable protection against flames but has the great disadvantage of being very prone to slipping. Examples of gloves of this type can be seen in documents uS 2003/037364, GB 1 473 744 and DE 20 2006 012570.

The problem does not appear when they are used to form flame retardant dresses or other types of clothing. However, when used to form gloves, it creates considerable problems.

In fact, drivers consider it difficult to accept the considerable slippage of material that makes steering wheel grip very insecure.

In addition, when using flame retardant fabrics, conductors complain about considerable problems that derive from the vibration which the material of this type transmits to their hands.

An objective of the present invention is therefore to provide a glove that represents an improvement over the known technique.

An additional objective of the invention is to provide a glove that has a very reliable grip without slippage.

A further objective of the present invention is to provide a glove that considerably dampens the vibrations transmitted to the driver's hands through the glove.

These and additional objectives are achieved by a glove according to the technical teachings of the appended claims.

The additional features and advantages of the invention will be apparent from the description of a preferred but not limiting embodiment of the glove of the present invention, illustrated by way of non-limiting example in the accompanying drawings, in which:

A coating is applied to the base element 2 in the palm 8 (see Figure 1) in a plurality of palm areas 7. These zones 7 are substantially the grip / support areas of the glove. This coating is formed of a deformable spongy material of any type, but preferably of a flame retardant material commercially known as HOTTEX.

This coating is provided with a configuration in the form of separate microcrateres 20, as shown in Figure 2. It should be appreciated that for simplicity of representation these microcrateres 20 are represented in Figure 1 only in the initial zones 7A present in the index and in the middle finger of the glove, however, they are also present in all other zones 7 represented in Figure 1.

In particular, the craters are present in initial gripping areas 7A on each of the fingertips / second phalanges of the fingers of the gloves. These initial zones 7A have a wider first and second zone 11, 12 placed in a first and second phalanx of each finger; between these wider zones 11 and 12 a narrower zone 13 is present.

The microcratere lining 20 is also applied to a second gripping zone 7B in the connection part between the body of the hand and some of the fingers. This part has a transverse band 14 from which four segments 15 extend towards the fingers to engage each part of each finger.

A third coating zone 7C is also present disposed in an intermediate position of the palm. This third zone has the shape of an elongated band in a direction transverse to the palm of the glove and comprises a segment 15 that extends from it along the index finger.

The microcrateres 20 are also provided in a fourth grip area 7D which extends from that part 16 by which the palm of the hand is externally attached to the wrist, towards the center of the palm.

The microcrateres are also provided in a fifth and in a sixth grip area 7E substantially trapezoidal placed in an area below the wrist on the outside of the forearm and on the inside of the forearm arranged on both sides ("straddling" ) of the doll. Below each trapezoidal zone 7E are provided seventh zones comprising microcrateres. These seventh zones each have two extended parts 110, 120 in a manner similar to those provided in the phalanges, interconnected by a lower extension zone 130.

The microcrateres present in the related areas are schematically represented in Figures 3 to 6. Specifically, each of the microcrateres 20 has a substantially truncated cone shape, with the major base fixed to said base structure 2. In its upper part each of The microcrateres 20 have a blind concavity 21 with a rounded profile that can be elastically deformed when it is subjected to even minimal pressure, such as that which appears only by resting the hand on the steering wheel. The operation of the microcrateres is very evident in Figures 4 and 5.

Figure 4 shows a microcrater 20 tensioned by a considerable force, such as a grip force exerted on the steering wheel by a tight grip during a sports competition. The elastic deformation thus takes place both in the area of craters comprising the cavity or hole 21 and in the trunk of the crater. Therefore the crater provides optimal damping and protection against vibrations and an optimal grip on the steering wheel. In particular, the damping is provided by the elastic deformation of the crater trunk.

At points where the pressure is lower, where the hand rests only, the microcrater deforms as in Figure 5, that is, it only deforms in its initial part that comprises the cavity or hollow 21, the trunk of the 20A crater remaining undeformed. This results in an extension of the contact surface between the gripped object and the glove, to ensure an optimal grip, the contact surface between the glove and the object being considerable.

In the present context the term "deformable" is widely used referring to the constituent material of the microcratere coating. The deformability of this material is such that a deformation is obtained as described and in particular only of the initial part when the crater is subjected to the force of the glove on the steering wheel and also of the second part if vibrations are present. or grip forces on the steering wheel during a competition. When the tension in the crateres ceases, its deformable constituent material elastically returns to its original position, to reconstitute the basic shape of the crateres before being tensioned.

Essentially, the microcraters 21 conceived in this way increase the grip friction while simultaneously damping any impact or vibration due to their deformation.

Advantageously, as is clearly visible in Figure 2, the microcrateres present in certain grip areas, such as 7D and 7C, have different radii and / or heights and / or density in order to absorb different types of vibrations.

In Figure 1, in each of the described areas 7 different colored subzones are visible. In the dark colored areas the crateres are low, in the dark gray areas the crateres are slightly higher, while in the white areas in the center of the parts indicated by 7C and 7D they reach their maximum height. These are in fact the most tense areas. Advantageously, different material density craters may be provided, with a different density possibly being provided for each crater zone, based on the areas in which the craters are placed.

In particular, in figure 2 it can be seen that the microcrateres have a distribution such that the microcrateres of greater diameter and height are placed in the central parts (the most tensioned, that is to say the white parts of figure 1 within the zones 7D and 7C) of the grip zones 7; The microcrateres also have a diameter and / or a height that decreases in the direction away from the center of each grip zone 7 (black zones in Figure 1).

A preferred embodiment has been illustrated, however others can be conceived using the same inventive concept. For example, the distribution of the microcrateres can be of any type required to adequately adapt to the different predictable pressure profiles within the grip for which the glove (flywheel, etc.) is intended. In addition the microcrateres can present any form. They are represented in this case with a truncated cone shape, however they can also be cylindrical, circular, square or of any type.

The same microcrater can also be composed of materials of different density. For example, the initial part may be of low density Hottex to provide considerable deformation, while the second support part may be of a higher Hottex density.
