A lining for motor vehicles and in particular cab roofs having a layer impervious to the migration of organic products is described, which is characterised in that the continuous barrier layer (3) which is impervious to the migration of organic products and is arranged between the decorative layer (2) and the insulating underlayer (4), serving as rigid underlay, comprises a film which has a good thermosetting capacity on both its surfaces, does not exhibit any tendency to flow at the deformation temperature of the laminar structure forming the lining and is selected from the group which comprises polyester films which are provided on both their surfaces with a thermosetting polyurethane-resin based or epoxy-resin based coating as well as polyurethane resin films.
