Abstract
Un método para separar una emulsión de petróleo-en-agua, formada durante la producción de petróleo crudo, en una fase acuosa y una fase oleosa, que comprende: añadir 1 parte por millón (ppm) a 10000 ppm de un copolímero catiónico a base de vinilimidazolio a la emulsión de petróleo en agua, basado en un volumen total de la emulsión de petróleo-en-agua, para formar la fase acuosa y la fase oleosa; y separar la fase acuosa de la fase oleosa.
