Abstract

Un sistema de navegación por ultrasonidos asistida por ordenador (100) incluyendo una unidad instrumental (1) que coopera con: - un dispositivo de ultrasonidos (4) provisto de una sonda de ultrasonidos (3) para capturar una pluralidad de imágenes ultrasónicas bidimensionales de una región en cuestión; - un sensor de seguimiento por infrarrojos o electromagnético (20) adaptado para detectar la posición de un sensor (22) acoplado a la sonda de ultrasonidos y provisto elementos marcadores por infrarrojos (M-I-U) o elementos marcadores electromagnéticos (M-E-U); estando configurada dicha unidad instrumental para detectar la posición del sensor en el sistema de referencia del sensor de seguimiento (20) y para orientar las imágenes ultrasónicas capturadas (imagen C-2D), caracterizándose el sistema por implementar: a) medios de importación (200) que importan una pluralidad de imágenes bidimensionales, obtenidas por medio de técnicas de tomografía por rayos X CT o resonancia magnética MR y relacionadas con una exploración completa de una región anatómica en cuestión, a la memoria (7) del ordenador; dichas imágenes bidimensionales están preferiblemente en formato DICOM (Formación de imágenes digitales y comunicaciones en medicina); b) primeros medios de reconstrucción (210), que, comenzando con imágenes bidimensionales importadas, forman una reconstrucción tridimensional de toda la región anatómica en cuestión generando una imagen tridimensional reconstruida A; c) medios de transformación (220), que transforman dicha imagen tridimensional A a una imagen pseudoultrasónica tridimensional B formada por una pluralidad de imágenes pseudoultrasónicas bidimensionales (B-2D); d) medios de exploración (230) por medio de los que al menos una imagen ultrasónica bidimensional (e) de la región anatómica en cuestión es capturada moviendo manualmente dicha sonda de ultrasonidos (3) con respecto a dicha región en cuestión; estando adaptados además dichos medios de exploración (230) para detectar la posición del sensor (22) acoplado a la sonda en el sistema de referencia del sensor de seguimiento (20) orientando en el espacio la imagen ultrasónica bidimensional capturada que se almacena; e) medios de comparación (235) configurados para extraer la imagen pseudoultrasónica bidimensional (imagen B- 2D) muy similar a dicha imagen ultrasónica almacenada (C-2D); f) medios de selección (250) de puntos característicos en dicha imagen ultrasónica bidimensional previamente capturada, detectada y almacenada (C-2D) y en la imagen pseudoultrasónica bidimensional extraída (B-2D); g) medios de alineación (250, 260) que, según los puntos característicos seleccionados, realizan una operación de realineación entre el sistema de referencia de la imagen pseudoultrasónica tridimensional (imagen B) y por ello de la imagen A y la del espacio operativo en el que opera la sonda de ultrasonidos, de modo que los puntos característicos identificados coincidan en los respectivos sistemas de referencia de las dos imágenes bidimensionales.
