Housing for water heaters, of the type comprising a water heater boiler, an insulating coating, such as polyurethane foam, circulating to the boiler and a prismatic outer envelope, which covers, reinforces and protects the insulating coating, characterized in that the the bases of the envelope are closed by means of respective, preferably flat, lids of reduced thickness and contour equal to that of said bases, of which, the lower cover is fixed by threaded screws to sheet inserts anchored and embedded in the insulating covering, while that the top cover rests on the free edge of the envelope; there being arranged around the aforesaid envelope two end covers, one upper and one lower, each constituted by an L-shaped profile of a length less than the contour of the shell, with its ends joined by a coil spring, the longer section of the profile extending from of the lower section of the lower L-shaped profile inserted between the free edge of the enclosure and the lower cover, so that the prolongation of the greater section of said profile covers the edge of the cover, while in the upper profile, the smaller section supports on the top cover, serving as a retention element thereof.
