Elemento portante para estantería, con un perfil longitudinal hueco, al menos parcialmente, y perfiles de unión dispuestos en sus extremos frontales mediante apriete, que rellenan por lo menos una parte de la sección transversal hueca del perfil longitudinal, para ensamblarse de un modo cualquiera formando una estantería portante, especialmente para uso doméstico, caracterizado porque los perfiles de unión están dotados en sus zonas extremas de segmentos de apriete que se apoyan en la pared del perfil longitudinal y que dividen en cuatro partes la sección transversal del perfil longitudinal y porque para cerrar un anillo de apoyo completo mediante los segmentos de apriete están previstos correspondientes segmentos adicionales.
