Abstract

Perfeccionamientos en el método de tratamiento de minerales de hierro finamente divididos, caracterizados por un proceso para el beneficio de compuestos que contengan hierro, incluyendo óxidos, óxidos hidratados y óxidos carbonatados, que comprenden el calentamiento y parcial reducción de tales compuestos mediante un reductor adecuado para la eliminación de oxígeno de ellos, proporcionando un producto compuesto de óxidos de hierro y de un 0 a un 10% de hierro metálico, prensando luego el producto a temperaturas inferiores a 1500ºF y a precisiones superiores a 10000 l.p.c., en aglomerados de extructura permeable y conservadora de una forma compacta.
