Abstract

Improvements introduced in the manufacture of flexible coated abrasive sheets that are highly resistant to plastering by leather and similar materials, comprising a flexible backing and abrasive grains firmly attached thereto by a binder that is present in a high proportion of total or mineral binder in a gloss value of at hand approximately 5 units as determined by the reflectance test described herein, including the binder uniformly distributed by it at least on the exposed surface thereof, an oxygenated compound compatible with the remaining constituents of the binder and chosen of the class consisting of polyhydric aliphatic alcohols and aliphatic polyethers.
