Un electrodo (10) de aguja única para electroporación reversible de tejido in vivo, que comprende: a. un tubo de entrega hueco alargado capaz de penetrar un tejido corporal, en el que el tubo de entrega comprende al menos un ánodo y al menos un cátodo (21a, 21b, 31a, 31b, 41, 42, 51a, 51b, 90, 101) dispuestos en al menos una parte de una superficie exterior de dicho tubo de entrega; y b. conductos que pueden ser eléctricamente conductores capaces de conectar dicho ánodo y dicho cátodo (21a, 21b, 31a, 31b, 41, 42, 51a, 51b, 90, 101) a una fuente de energía eléctrica; caracterizado por que el ánodo y el cátodo son alargados y están separados y eléctricamente aislados unos de otros y situados paralelos uno con respecto al otro, y además caracterizado por que el tubo de entrega es una aguja con aberturas que tiene puertos u orificios de entrega a lo largo de la longitud de la aguja, en el que cuando dicho tubo de entrega es insertado en el tejido y cuando dicho ánodo o ánodos y dicho cátodo o cátodos (21a, 21b, 31a, 31b, 41, 42, 51a, 51b, 90, 101) son excitados por dicha fuente de energía, se genera un campo eléctrico para la electroporación de células de manera reversible en una zona de tratamiento que rodea a dicho tubo de entrega de modo que permita que dichas células admitan un ingrediente activo en una composición fluida entregada a través de dicho tubo de entrega.A single needle electrode (10) for reversible electroporation of tissue in vivo, comprising: a. an elongated hollow delivery tube capable of penetrating body tissue, wherein the delivery tube comprises at least one anode and at least one cathode (21a, 21b, 31a, 31b, 41, 42, 51a, 51b, 90, 101 ) disposed on at least a portion of an outer surface of said delivery tube; and b. electrically conductive conduits capable of connecting said anode and said cathode (21a, 21b, 31a, 31b, 41, 42, 51a, 51b, 90, 101) to a source of electrical power; characterized in that the anode and cathode are elongated and are spaced apart and electrically isolated from one another and positioned parallel to one another, and further characterized in that the delivery tube is an apertured needle having delivery ports or holes through along the length of the needle, wherein when said delivery tube is inserted into tissue and when said anode(s) and said cathode(s) (21a, 21b, 31a, 31b, 41, 42, 51a, 51b, 90, 101) are excited by said energy source, an electric field is generated for the electroporation of cells in a reversible manner in a treatment zone surrounding said delivery tube so as to allow said cells to admit an active ingredient in a fluid composition delivered through said delivery tube.
