Abstract

Un procedimiento para la preparación de A"- esteroides 6alfa-R sustituidos de la serie del pregneno, pregnadieno o pregnadieno, en los que R es un grupo alquilo, arilo, arilalquilo, alquilarilo o un grupo heterocíclico y en el que R está unido a la posición 6 a través de un átomo de carbono, caracterizado por tratar el 5alfa, 6alfa-apoxiesteroide correspondiente con una cantidad suficiente de un reactivo de Grignard y aislar el 5alfa-hidroxi-esteroide-6beta-R-sustituido y a continuación deshidratar para introducir la insaturación en A" e isomerizar el sustituyente en 6beta a 6alfa.
