Abstract

Según el procedimiento, se introducen virutas (16) de madera en un tubo (10) que contiene dos tornillos (12, 14) paralelos de engranaje relativo, presentando sus filetes (12B, 14B) de manera sucesiva, en el sentido (S) aguas abajo, al menos una serie aguas arriba y una serie aguas abajo de tramos (SM, SI, SA) que comprenden, cada una, una zona de accionamiento (SME, SIE, SAE) en la que se accionan las virutas en el sentido aguas abajo y una zona de frenado (SMF, SIF, SAF) a través de la cual se fuerzan las virutas, accionándose así las virutas en el tubo (10) frenándose en la zonas de frenado y transformándose en fibras (24). La duración de la estancia de las virutas en el tubo (10) está comprendida entre 15 y 80 segundos y se garantiza una presión al menos sensiblemente igual a 90 bares aguas arriba de la zona de frenado (SMF) de la serie aguas arriba (SM), de tal manera que se alcanza una temperatura comprendida entre 120ºC y 150ºC en el tubo (10) sin aporte exterior de calor.
