Abstract

A liquid pressurised hair spray includes panthenol in an amount up to 3,5% by weight of the preparation excluding the propellant. The panthenol may be in the d-form or dl form, and may be used in solution in ethanol. Preferred propellants are the fluorinated hydrocarbons. Other ingredients include perfumes, anti-static agents (e.g. N-cetyl-N-ethyl-morpholinium ethylsulphate), hair conditioning agents (myristic alcohol, isopropylmytistate, polyglycols, lanolin and its derivatives) plasticizers and anti-hygroscopic agents. An additional setting ingredient is ethyl cellulose.
