Abstract

Método de funcionamiento de un equipo (1) de cirugía por ultrasonidos, que comprende una pieza de mano (3) y una punta (4) conectada a la misma, según el cual el equipo (1) calcula la frecuencia de resonancia en vacío (fr) y la frecuencia de antirresonancia en vacío (fa), y se autocalibra en vacío para operar a una frecuencia intermedia (fop) entre dichas frecuencias. Ello permite que cuando el equipo (1) opera en carga, la frecuencia de operación o frecuencia intermedia (fop) se aproxime a la frecuencia de resonancia real (fr?) del conjunto de pieza de mano (3) y punta (4) ya cargados. De este modo, la operación del equipo es más estable y se consigue un mejor aprovechamiento de la potencia entregada por el equipo (1).Method of operation of an ultrasonic surgery equipment (1), comprising a handpiece (3) and a tip (4) connected thereto, according to which the equipment (1) calculates the vacuum resonance frequency ( fr) and the anti-resonance frequency in vacuum (fa), and it is autocalibrated in vacuum to operate at an intermediate frequency (fop) between said frequencies. Statement motivated according to articles 29.6 and 29.7 of the Regulations for the execution of Law 11/1986, of March 20, on Patents on novelty and inventive activity; quotes and explanations in support of this statement La solicitud de patente en estudio en su reivindicación independiente nº 1 se refiere a las etapas de un método de funcionamiento de un equipo de cirugía por ultrasonidos, formado por una base, una pieza de mano y una punta, para operar a una frecuencia intermedia entre la frecuencia de resonancia y la frecuencia de antirresonancia. Las etapas dependientes 2 – 7 se refieren a la frecuencia de operación (2-4), señal calibradora (5) y etapas adicionales del método (6-7) y la reivindicación 8 al equipo que comprende los medios para la ejecución del método reivindicado. Tal y como aparecen redactadas actualmente las reivindicaciones, se ha considerado al documento D01 como el más próximo en el estado de la técnica. En dicho documento se reivindica específicamente un método de funcionamiento de un equipo de cirugía por ultrasonidos que está formado por una base, una pieza de mano y una punta en forma de cuchilla que vibra a una frecuencia ultrasónica (ver e.g. la figura 1 y el párrafo 17 que se refieren a la configuración general del equipo). En el método descrito se incluye un proceso de calibración con un barrido de frecuencias para encontrar los valores de la frecuencia de resonancia y la frecuencia de antirresonancia de la pieza de mano. A partir de estos valores de resonancia y antirresonancia y de su diferencia se obtiene un valor de operación idóneo (a la frecuencia y potencia deseadas) que es almacenado en la memoria del equipo y que puede ser seleccionado como valor de trabajo (ver e.g. párrafos 13 – 15, 37). Aunque no se mencionen características de una señal calibradora se ha considerado que el documento D01 recoge las etapas fundamentales del método reivindicado y, por consiguiente, afectaría a la actividad inventiva de las reivindicaciones 1-5, 8 de la solicitud en estudio según lo especificado en el artículo 8 de la Ley de Patentes. Por otra parte, los documentos D02 – D05 describen algunos aspectos relacionados con el estado de la técnica. Said document specifically claims an operation method of an ultrasonic surgery equipment that is formed by a base, a handpiece and a blade-shaped tip that vibrates at an ultrasonic frequency (see eg Figure 1 and paragraph 17 which refer to the general configuration of the equipment). In the described method, a calibration process with a frequency sweep is included to find the values of the resonance frequency and the anti-resonance frequency of the handpiece. From these resonance and anti-resonance values and their difference, an ideal operating value (at the desired frequency and power) is obtained, which is stored in the device's memory and can be selected as a working value (see eg paragraphs 13 - 15, 37). Although no characteristics of a calibrating signal are mentioned, it has been considered that document D01 includes the fundamental steps of the claimed method and, consequently, would affect the inventive activity of claims 1-5, 8 of the application under study as specified in Article 8 of the Patent Law.
